The Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra performs the “Messa da Requiem” written by Italian composer Guiseppe Verdi (1813-1901) and first performed in 1874.
Established in 1969, the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra has become one of the region’s most respected music institutions.
A requiem is a musical ode to the dead. Verdi composed this piece to honor Italian writer and philosopher Alessandro Manzoni (1785-1873).
