In this program, local teens will use aluminum wire, air-dry clay and found objects to create a hanging sculpture (i.e., a mobile).

The work of American sculptor Alexander Calder (1898-1976) are studied for inspiration. He is especially praised for creating innovative kinetic sculptures powered by motors or air currents.

Presented by Project Art Pittsburgh, which seeks to empower youth, artists and communities by offering tuition-free visual arts classes. Local artists teach classes aligned with the standards of the National Arts Education Association, the world’s largest professional art education association.
