Maverick is a boutique hotel located in what was originally a Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) fitness center (which first opened as Ace Hotel Pittsburgh in 2015}.

The Young Men’s Christian Association begin in 1844 with a single location in the United Kingdom and now exists in over 120 countries. This particular five-story structure was built in 1909 when the area around it (called East Liberty) was considered the city’s “second downtown.” The original façade of the YMCA has been preserved, as have the building’s terrazzo floors and the lobby’s marble staircase.

Maverick boasts 63 guest rooms and suites and two unique event spaces featuring original architectural elements and intricate details.
