The Allegheny Wine Mixer is a cozy lounge in the city’s historic Lawrenceville neighborhood offering wine by the glass or bottle, craft beer & cocktails, cheese & cured meats, good times & bad art.

Located northeast of Downtown, the city neighborhood of Lawrenceville is comprised of three segments:  Upper Lawrenceville, Central Lawrenceville and Lower Lawrenceville (Allegheny Wine is in Upper Lawrenceville).  The community was founded in 1814 by businessman William B. Foster (1779-1855), father of the quintessentially American composer Stephen Foster (1826-1864) , who was born there. It is named for Captain James Lawrence (1781-1813), hero of the War of 1812, famous for his dying words, “Don’t Give Up The Ship!” Lawrenceville was annexed by Pittsburgh in 1868.

The Allegheny Wine Mixer blends elements of a comfy living room with that of a chic art gallery where patrons enjoy an impressive selection of imported and domestic wines.
