Barebones Black Box is an intimate 70-seat venue in Braddock and home to Barebones Productions.
Formed in 2003, Barebones Productions is a Pittsburgh theater company whose mission is to facilitate the growth of local theater artists through the production of challenging, entertaining and thought-provoking plays.
Braddock is a suburb just east of Pittsburgh and named for General Edward Braddock (1695-1755), who served in the Pittsburgh area.
The performance space serves as a dedicated theater for barebones productions and a flex space for associated artistic endeavors. Located in a former abandoned Chevy dealership, the theater shares its first floor with a restaurant space called the Braddock Public House.
