Carnegie is a small suburb southwest of Pittsburgh named in honor of industrialist and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie (1835-1919). It is a walk-able community with many interesting and unique stores and restaurants in what once was a site for the coal and steel industries.
The community’s one major municipal green space is Carnegie Park. Residents enjoy facilities for skateboarding, hiking, picnicking, sports and various events.
