City Winery is a chain of wine-center restaurants founded in 2008 by Manhattan entrepreneur Michael Dorf.

The interior decor features large wooden columns and beams, along with red brick, to invoke a cross between old world European sensibilities with California wine country.

Pittsburgh’s winery is located inside the Strip District Terminal, the former Pennsylvania Railroad Fruit Auction & Sales Building. The building opened in 1929 as a distribution hub for perishable food being transported by the Pennsylvania Railroad (1846-1968). It has since been redeveloped as a shopping and entertainment complex.
