Even after some three decades, Hambone’s remains a popular and beloved watering hole and gathering spot in Pittsburgh’s historic Lawrenceville.

Lawrenceville is a city neighborhood northeast of downtown.  This former blue collar area is being transformed into a hipster paradise, complete with art galleries and interesting shops. The neighborhood is named in honor of American naval officer James Lawrence (1781-1813), who is famous for having uttered the dying words “Don’t give up the ship!”

In addition to a full drink selection, Hambone’s offers homemade food, a game room and a stage where local concerts and other events are sometimes held.
