Established on April 1, 1954, WQED was the first community-sponsored television station in the United States. A classical radio station with the same call letters was launched in 1973.

The three professional television production studios are sometimes used for meetings, plays and other events.

STANDARD OPERATING HOURS:
The station’s offices are open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
