The internationally renowned performance and media artist Bill Shannon will trace his relationship to creativity over the course of his career.

As a physically disabled child, Bill relied heavily on his innate creative impulses to solve complex movement patterning on an ongoing real-time basis for peer survival. That early experience of creativity as necessity led to an entire practice of art built around following, listening and waiting for creative solutions to make themselves apparent.

Present as part of the Pittsburgh Humanities Festival, a project co-produced by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust that brings together internationally-renowned academics, artists and intellectual innovators.
