Visitors will learn about the history of the buildings, explore the architecture and learn more about how old meets new at Central Catholic High School.

Central Catholic was established in 1927 thanks to the efforts of Bishop Hugh Charles Boyle (1873-1950). Its impressive main building was designed in the National Romanesque Style. A reaction to the industrialization of the late 19th Century, the style drew inspiration from early medieval architecture and even prehistoric precedents. The building has classrooms, the dining hall, the library, the theater, the writing center and other facilities.
