Grammy-nominated violinist Tessa Lark (pictured) joins the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra in a program dedicated to the work of German composer Richard Strauss (1864-1949) and Czech composer Antonin Dvořák (1841-1904).

Founded in 1895 by British composer, conductor and organist Frederic Archer (1838-1901), the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra is one of America’s oldest and most prestigious orchestras having performed around the world including a 2004 concert for Pope John Paul II (1920-2005).

Plunge into the impulsive world of Strauss’s “Don Juan”, where the fictional libertine’s passions surge through brilliant orchestral color and restless energy.

The program also features Dvořák’s Seventh Symphony, a storm-lit masterpiece infused with earthy folk spirit, securing its place among the finest symphonies of the 19th century.
