The intergalactic struggle begun in the 1977 film “Star Wars” reaches it’s culmination in this 1983 sequel — with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra performing the score live.
The bulk of the action takes place on the habitable moon Endor where the rebels try to destroy an energy field protecting a devastating weapon being constructed in space nearby — even as young hero Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) enters a personal battle with the evil Emperor Palpatine and his devilish father, Darth Vader.
