The Pittsburgh Symphony presents a program of dynamic and compelling music featuring its clarinetist Michael Rusinek (pictured).

Founded in 1895 by British composer, conductor and organist Frederic Archer (1838-1901), the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra (PSO) is one of America’s oldest and most prestigious orchestras having performed around the world including a 2004 concert for Pope John Paul II (1920-2005).

A highlight is a performance of the energetic first symphony written by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler (1860-1911). The program also includes the U.S. premiere of a new work by Samy Moussa, a PSO commission that brings fresh, contemporary voices to the stage.
