Attorney and educator Samuel Bagenstos is this year’s chosen speaker.
His lecture, “Health Justice Over Time,” will consider broader timeframe over which social decisions contribute to health inequities and disparities.
Samuel Bagenstos was appointed by President Biden and confirmed by the Senate to serve as General Counsel to the Department of Health and Human Services. Outside of his government service, Bagenstos has taught at four law schools and litigated significant civil rights, health and employment law matters.
The lecture program is named in honor of the university’s chancellor emeritus Mark A. Nordenberg.
