Honor the men and women who have contributed to this nation through hard work and genuine commitment.

Labor Day in the United States is a holiday celebrating men and women who are employed in manual labor. It is believed that the idea originated with union leader Peter J. McGuire (1852-1906) in 1882. Starting on the state level, Labor Day received national status in 1894 when it received federal recognition as an official holiday. Culturally, Labor Day is often seen as the “unofficial end of summer.”

The parade starts at PPG Arena and travels down the Boulevard of the Allies.
