Best known by his stage name David Bowie, English singer-songwriter and actor David Robert Jones (1947-2016). as a leading figure in the music industry and is considered one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. His career was marked by reinvention and visual presentation, particularly for his innovative work during the 1970s. It was during this era when he assumed the persona of the sexually ambiguous spaceman Iggy Stardust.
