This innovative production explores the beloved Sleeping Beauty story from a new perspective as the ballet delves into the depths of the villain’s heart.
Written by an unknown author in the 14th Century, Sleeping Beauty is a classic fairy tale about a princess who is cursed to sleep for a hundred years by an evil fairy, to be awakened by a handsome prince at the end of them.
Initially portrayed as a guardian of the woods turned envious antagonist, the evil fairy’s journey unveils layers of inner conflict, challenging the audience to contemplate the possibility of transformation.
