Co-founded by the pioneering Asian-American musician and activist Fred Ho (1957-2014). the 12-member Afro Yaqui Music Collective (AYMC) beautifully seasons jazz and funk with the unique flavors of indigenous cultures from around the world.
The collective’s name comes, in part, from a Native American people called the Yaqui (sometimes written as “Yoeme”).
