Join the Bach Choir of Pittsburgh (BCP) in celebrating the 341st birthday of German composer Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750).
Bach is known for his prolific output across a variety of instruments and forms and is considered one of the greatest composers of European music. In addition to refreshments and an exciting concert, the evening honors the remarkable legacy of BCP’s retiring Artistic Director Thomas W. Douglas.
Proceeds benefit the Bach Choir of Pittsburgh, which was founded in 1934 originally just to perform the works of Johann Sebastian Bach but has grown to embrace major choral works by composers from the 14th Century to today.
