A treasure trove of archival footage adds rich dimension to this 2025 documentary film about the pioneering British pop band Culture Club.
Originally performing from 1981 to 1986 and led by singer/songwriter George “Boy George” O’Dowd, the band Culture Club crafted a sound that has a style and sound reflective of their various ethnicities. The band has recently reunited.
Nothing is off limits in this film — from songwriting and touring to fashion and fiery inter-band dynamics. But at its core is the tender yet explosive love story between Boy George and bandmate Jon Moss, a relationship that inspired some of their biggest hits but also brought the band to its knees.
Presented as part of the Three Rivers Film Festival, the oldest film festival in the region.
