The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra performs the scores live as classic “Looney Tunes” are shown on a giant screen.
“Looney Tunes” is a series of animated shorts originally created between 1930 and 1969 by the Warner Bros. film studio. They were cleverly written and showcased excellent hand-drawn animation. Many of the characters were voiced by the versatile actor Mel Blanc (1908-1989). Among the most popular characters voiced by Blanc was Bugs Bunny (pictured).
The shorts “What’s Opera, Doc?” “The Rabbit of Seville,” “Long-Haired Hare,” “Corny Concerto,” “Baton Bunny,” and other vintage treasures will be combined with dynamic new additions.
