The center’s monthly Café Scientifique program is  where anyone interested in science can get together at a scientific hub to discuss today’s science issues with experts.

Dr. Amesh Adalja discusses  the continual threat of pandemics and how infectious diseases have shaped human history. He uses the 1918 influenza pandemic (also known as the Spanish flu) as a starting point. More than 500 million people across the world were infected and killed almost 5% of the planet’s population in less than two years.

Dr. Adalja is board certified in internal medicine, emergency medicine, infectious diseases, and critical care medicine.

Enjoy a pub-type atmosphere at this age 21+ event with food and drinks available for purchase.
