Join WPXI’s Chief Meteorologist Stephen Cropper as he talks about the science of weather and how quickly it can change from one part of the area to another.

Cropper has delivered accurate, easy-to-understand local forecasts in the Pittsburgh area for nearly two decades. He was on-air alerting viewers nonstop for nearly 24 hours during the record-breaking Pittsburgh snowfall of February 2010. He also provided life-saving information during the tornado outbreaks of June 1998 and April 2002. It was the back-to-back record-breaking rains from Hurricane Frances and Ivan in September 2004 that Cropper remembers most.

Café Scientifique is program of the Carnegie Science Center where anyone interested in science can get together at a scientific hub to discuss today’s science issues with experts.
