Canadian singer, songwriter and actress Deborah Cox possesses one of the most powerful and versatile contemporary voices of our time. She beautifully imparts smooth rhythm & blues, pop songs and showtunes with the joy and passion accumulated in a rich life and career.
That life began as the child of Guinean descent growing up in a diverse Toronto neighborhood. Deborah began singing professionally at age 12 and eventually became a back-up vocalist to superstar Celine Dionne. Her career really took off with support of music impresario Clive Davis which led to a record deal, Broadway and films such as 2005’s “Blood of a Champion.” Deborah has been recognized with Canada’s highest musical honor, the Juno Award.
