Get to the point of Pittsburgh history by taking a one-hour highlights tour of the Fort Pitt Museum this weekend.
Fort Pitt is a partially restored British military installation that was the seed that became Pittsburgh and is now an indoor/outdoor museum. Built in 1759 near the site of a former French garrison, Fort Pitt was designed to protect the Ohio River and nearby colonists in what historians call the French & Indian War (1754-1763).
Two tours will be held each day this weekend, at 11:00 a,m, and 1:00 p.m. For more information, call (412) 471-1764.
