“Unstitch” is a big-hearted and unadulterated tour through the organs of a soft and scarred body being torn apart at the seams. Artist Anna King Skeelstakes us through the journey of a fat queer person. This work in process examines our relationships with others and the trauma we have endured with our bodies. Centering movement andfiber arts, the gutsy, fluffy “Unstitch” invites you to feel.
Presented by the Kelly Strayhorn Theater as part of the theater’s Freshworks creative residency program. Freshworks supports playful exploration in performance through interdisciplinary work in contemporary dance, theater, music and multimedia.
