Calling all dancing queens: a troupe of disc jockeys play everyone’s favorite ABBA songs along with plenty of other disco hits of the 1970’s.
The Swedish quartet ABBA (1972-1982) specialized in bouncy, upbeat pop tunes notable for their vocal harmonies. The group’s name derives from the letter in each of the members’ first name: Agnetha Faltskog, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. ABBA was a key component of the Disco Era — a period in the 1970’s whose music was typified by syncopated basslines, strings, electric piano and lots of synthesizers.
