Shock rock reaches its creative and controversial peak with groundbreaking band GWAR.
GWAR was formed in Virginia in 1984, but the band’s fun self-created myth claims they are former warriors from a distant planet who have been banished to Earth due to gross incompetence. The members take the stage wearing distinctively grotesque costumes — and audience members should be prepared for over-the-top humor, violent re-enactments and lots of fake body fluids.
Expect a remarkable theatrical experience that will rock you as nothing else can (but isn’t for the faint of heart).
