JGBG is band that plays tribute to legendary guitarist/vocalist Jerry Garcia (1942-1995), best known for co-founding the Grateful Dead (1965-1995).
The inventive rock band Grateful Dead grew out of the 1960’s counterculture movement in San Francisco by guitarist/vocalist Jerry Garcia and his pals. The band brilliantly fused elements from genres as diverse as folk, jazz and psychedelic into a distinctive rock sound with lots of improvisation.
JGBG specializes in Jerry’s bluegrass songs.
