Everyone of every background is welcome to a weekend of terrific activities and performances for the region’s official Juneteenth celebration.
Juneteenth is a federal holiday commemorating the effective end of institutional African-American enslavement, which happened on June 19, 1865. It is used as the basis for celebrating Black history and sacrifice and especially contributions to the national culture.
Admission is free. The park will be teeming each day from 11:00 a.m, to 9:00 p.m. Music featuring local acts begins at 4:00 p.m.
