The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra performs the live score during the screening of this star-studded 2003 film.
Founded in 1895 by British composer, conductor and organist Frederic Archer (1838-1901), the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra is one of America’s oldest and most prestigious orchestras having performed around the world including a 2004 concert for Pope John Paul II (1920-2005).
“Love Actually” is set in London during the weeks leading up to Christmas and tells one story which weaves together a spectacular amount of love stories — sometimes romantic, sometimes sad, sometimes stupid — all funny in their own way.
The ensemble of big names includes Colin Firth, Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley, Emma Thompson, Billy Bob Thornton and Laura Linney.
