This 2025 documentary film takes viewers on an intimate journey through Paul McCartney’s extraordinary life following the breakup of The Beatles.
The Beatles (1960-1970) was a groundbreaking English rock band that brilliantly and innovatively incorporated elements of other music genres to create their distinctive repertoire. After breaking up, each of the four members — John Lennon (1940-1980), Paul McCartney (born 1942), George Harrison (1943-2001) and Ringo Starr (born 1940) — went on to equally creative and successful solo careers.
The film chronicles the arc of McCartney’s solo career as he faces down myriad challenges while creating new music to define a decade. Through unprecedented access to previously unseen footage and rare archival materials, the documentary captures Paul’s transformative post-Beatles era through a uniquely vulnerable lens.
Presented as part of the Three Rivers Film Festival, the oldest film festival in the region.
