Millvale is a small, historic suburb located north of Pittsburgh just across the city’s boundary. The town takes its name from a combination its location (a valley) and type of industry that was thrived there — primarily steel and lumber mills. Millvale’s business district is centered on Grant Avenue, where many of the buildings are handsome brick structures dating from the early 20th Century.
