This month’s theme is Oktoberfest, a Bavarian folk festival which began in 1810 as public celebration of the wedding between King Ludwig I (1786-1868) and Princess Therese (1792-1854). It has since evolved into a major festival in the city of Munich attracting six million people annually. Guests are encouraged to wear their best festive German attire .
