This acclaimed 1982 British film is a brilliant blend of live-action and animation.
Pink Floyd (1965-1995) was a psychedelic rock band from England noted for their extended compositions, sonic experimentation, philosophical lyrics and elaborate live shows. Their best-known work is the groundbreaking 1979 album “The Wall”. Through its songs, the album tells of a jaded rock star whose eventual self-imposed isolation from society forms a figurative wall.
The film adaptation features little dialogue and instead is driven by the music from the album throughout. It frequently utilizes both visual and auditory symbols throughout its runtime.
