Join Honorary Captain Franco Harris for the 31st annual Steelers 5K starting and ending at Heinz Field.
Founded in 1933, the Steelers are the oldest team in the American Football Conference.
Participants will gather in front of the Heinz Field Press Gate entrance on North Shore Drive. The course will follow North Shore to General Robinson Street to River Avenue, heading back to Heinz Field along Lacock Street to Mazeroski Way. Runners and walkers will follow General Robinson to Dorsett, turn left onto Reedsdale Street, then enter the stadium at Gate 5 to cross the finish line at midfield on the warning track.
Proceeds benefit the Art Rooney Scholarship Fund. The fund was established in memory of the late founder of the Steelers, Arthur Rooney Jr. (1901-1988) to provide a grant to a North Catholic High School student. For more information, call (412) 323-1200.
