Russo-British classical violinist Alina Ibragimova has been playing with various orchestras — including this program with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra — since 1991 when she was just six years old.

Founded in 1895 by British composer, conductor and organist Frederic Archer (1838-1901), the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra is one of America’s oldest and most prestigious orchestras having performed around the world including a 2004 concert for Pope John Paul II (1920-2005).

The program’s highlight will beĀ Alina performing the first symphony written by German composer Johannes Bahms (1833-1897).
