The internationally acclaimed Soviet-born Israeli-American pianist Yefim Bronfman joins the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra in performing the fourth concerto written by German composer Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827).

Founded in 1895 by British composer, conductor and organist Frederic Archer (1838-1901), the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra is one of America’s oldest and most prestigious orchestras having performed around the world including a 2004 concert for Pope John Paul II (1920-2005).

Beethoven wrote his fourth piano concerto in 1784 at the age of 14 with a style representative of classical composers of the late 18th century.
