Hot young French pianist Cédric Tiberghien joins the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra in a program centered around an iconic work by composer George Gershwin (pictured).

Founded in 1895 by British composer, conductor and organist Frederic Archer (1838-1901), the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra is one of America’s oldest and most prestigious orchestras having performed around the world including a 2004 concert for Pope John Paul II (1920-2005).

“An American in Paris” is a symphonic poem written by American composer George Gershwin (1898-1937) that debuted in 1928.  It is a warm, jazz-infused tour through Paris that will put a smile on your face and get your foot tapping.
