One of the most paramount violinists of our time, Gil Shaham, joins the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra in performing the only violin concerto written by German composer Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827).
Founded in 1895 by British composer, conductor and organist Frederic Archer (1838-1901), the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra is one of America’s oldest and most prestigious orchestras having performed around the world including a 2004 concert for Pope John Paul II (1920-2005).
Beethoven’s one and only violin concerto is filled with sweet and delicate melodies that audiences have grown to love over the years.
