The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra is joined by Seong-Jin Cho — who has been thrilling audiences and critics alike when, at the tender age of 21, he became the first South Korean pianist to win the International Chopin Piano Competition in 2015.

Founded in 1895 by British composer, conductor and organist Frederic Archer (1838-1901), the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra is one of America’s oldest and most prestigious orchestras having performed around the world including a 2004 concert for Pope John Paul II (1920-2005).

The program features selections from “Romeo & Juliet”, a ballet created in the 1930’s by Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev (1891-1953) and based on the classic play about doomed young lovers.
