The sultry sounds of South America will fill Heinz Hall as the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and conductor Andrés Franco perform gorgeous tangos, one of the most influential and famous dance music in history.

Founded in 1895 by British composer, conductor and organist Frederic Archer (1838-1901), the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra is one of America’s oldest and most prestigious orchestras having performed around the world including a 2004 concert for Pope John Paul II (1920-2005).

Originating in the streets of Buenos Aires and Montevideo, the lush romantic melodies and fascinating rhythms of tango will dare you to stay in your seats.
