Let Paris be your playground in an immersive night of music featuring a signature work by American composer George Gershwin (1898-1937).

PSO Disrupt is a project of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra (PSO) to stage classical music in an engaging new method that combines elements of a cocktail party with that of a concert.

Tonight’s installment is centered around Gershwin’s 1928 tone poem “An American in Paris.” The composition was inspired by the time that Gershwin had spent in Paris and evokes the sights and energy of the French capital during the wild 1920’s. It was the inspiration for the 1951 musical film of the same name starring Pittsburgh native Gene Kelly.

This relaxed evening features themed cocktails, activities and surprises.
