Explore the complex and disquieting history of the Moravian Christian settlement called Gnadenhutten during this one-day conference.

The Moravian Church is one of the oldest protestant denominations in history originating in the Moravia region of Eastern Europe. Established in 1772, Gnadenhutten was one of several religious communities for Native converts. But despite years of peaceful living their neutrality was challenged by the American Revolution (1775-1783). On March 8, 1782, militiamen from Pennsylvania killed 96 members who were falsly accused of spying.
