Written by English author Jane Austin (1775-1817) the novel Sense and Sensibility was first published in 1811. The novel follows the three Dashwood sisters as they must move with their widowed mother from the estate on which they grew up because their elder half-brother has inherited the property.
The play uses humor and richly developed characters as the trio navigates a new world of unforeseen financial and societal pressures.
