Come and learn the beautiful and ancient Japanese resist-dyeing technique known as Shibori.
First appearing around 240CE, this is a manual technique that produces a number of different patterns on fabric.
In this class you will learn the basics of creating an indigo (i.e., deep blue) dyebath using pre-reduced indigo crystals and Shibori techniques to generate unique patterns and designs to dye several pieces of fabric that can be made into things, some tea towels and a bandana.
