Steel City Calypso is a trio that considers itself to be the region’s premier calypso band.
Calypso is a style of Afro-Caribbean music that originated in the early 19th century on the islands of Trinidad and Tobago. Its characterized by highly rhythmic and harmonic vocals (often in a variation of French).
These three talented guys create a festive ambiance whether playing calypso, jazz funk or rock music.
