Support the women in your life with this celebratory outdoor event to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Breast cancer is a disease involving abnormal cell development in a person’s (nearly always a woman’s) breast tissue. While treatment has a high success rate, it is fatal for some people. The inspiration for the foundation and its signature event Susan Goodman Komen (1943-1980), who was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 33 and died three years later. Her sister, Nancy Goodman Brinker promised Susan that she would do everything she could to end breast cancer.

Founded in 1982, the foundation finances breast cancer education, research, advocacy, health services and social support programs. For more information, call (412) 342-0500.
