Comedy duo Eli Batalion and Jamie Elman (pictured) take their popular online series to the big screen in this 2025 film that blends humor with heart.
“Yidlife Crisis” is a YouTube comedy series that Batalion and Elman launched in 2014. The series consists of short comedy sketches about two 30-something Jewish friends who use Yiddish as something like a secret language.
In this film adaptation, pals Leyzer and Chaimi (Batalion and Elman) bravely step onto Swedish soil to unearth a hidden treasure trove of Jewish culture. From the moment they arrive in Stockholm, the boys prepare for a big live show while unraveling the little-known history of Sweden’s Jewish community.
Presented as part of the JFilm Festival, an annual showcase of Jewish-themed independent films from around the world.
